I'm giving this door and the service I received a solid 5 stars. I bought the door for my screened-in porch, and it needed some customization for the pet door by trimming the outer edges on two sides. I also had to grab an extra 72-inch stabilizing bar. After that, things started to go south, but I can't really blame Hale for it. I just think they shouldn't suggest this door for screens larger than a standard sliding glass door, which can be taken out for installation. The instructions for putting it together were a bit tricky to understand. The nearest authorized dealer was a whopping 2.5 hours away, so I ended up hiring a general contractor who messed up the job and cut the stabilizing bar too short. The door is up, but it’s not the best installation. If I decide to send it back, I’ll only get half of what I paid, which I knew before buying. Plus, with shipping costs, it’s just not worth the hassle. I’m thinking of having a frame built into the screen and then putting the door in that, which I should've done from the start—my mistake. But I reckon this should be suggested as an option instead of just relying on the stabilizing bar. That said, when I do replace the door, it’ll definitely be a Hale door with a universal fit.

Hale really stepped up to fix the chaos caused by Pet Pro Supply, the online shop where I ordered a ramp. Turns out, Hale Pet Door never got any of my inquiries or my request to modify my order. They were super kind and genuinely worried about the problems I faced with my order. I totally recommend Hale Pet Door; but moving forward, I’ll just order straight from them.

When I got my Hale pet door, I thought it was a bit pricey. It seemed nice when it arrived, but you know how it goes—time reveals everything. Now, after five years of heavy use, this door is still performing wonderfully. I have a big pit bull, so I opted for the large double-sided version. He’s been a fan since the very first time he used it. I’ve cleaned the plastic a few times over the years, but that’s really all it’s needed. So yeah, it was a bit of an investment, but after five years of hassle-free service, it turned out to be quite worth it. I expect to get many more years out of it. If I ever wear this one out, I’ll surely buy another. Big thanks to a trustworthy company!

I had to make a big opening in my door????? Sounds like a tough task. Nope, it was actually quite straightforward and didn’t take long at all. This door is really well-crafted and thoughtfully designed. I purchased the training flap and used the instructions to help my little, nervous pup learn to go through. It took roughly 10 minutes (we paused for a bit). I couldn't be more satisfied with it.

I was really impressed with Dan Wark Interiors. About a week back, he came over to measure where we could fit the doggy door to lead into our screened patio. Since I can't install one in the sliding glass doors due to them being hurricane impact, we found a spot in the dining room. We placed the order, and Dan showed up yesterday to get it installed. It was quite the task since we had custom painted walls and marble base. He managed to cut through around 10 inches of solid concrete wall and then put in the hale pet door. He also had to re-stucco the area around the door. The finish was stunning, and he left everything spotless. I would definitely recommend Dan. He works really hard and is a joy to work with.

I put in the Hale Omni Panel Pet Door into a sliding glass door frame. The folks on the phone were super helpful, but the printed and online docs had some confusing text and not-so-great photos and diagrams. I think we’re gonna need a bunch of low-expansion aerosol foam to make sure we get a decent thermal seal around the insert. Honestly, I expected more from Hale. On the bright side, our Dobie bolted right through the double flap dog door and is loving it. Overall, we’re happy with the purchase.

After around 8-9 years, the flap on my outside door began to crack, so I decided to get the replacement flap kit. I'm not exactly a DIY expert, but it was super simple to install. My original door worked like a charm, was easy for my dog to access, and held up well against the weather. The new one looks just as nice. Plus, you can securely shut the inside door at night or when you're away, thanks to a sturdy plastic insert that locks in place. Hale is a solid company, and they really know how to make a quality product.

This product is fantastic! It held up for two decades with four dogs using it. When I finally needed to swap out the door flaps, watching the video was definitely helpful, but let me tell ya, it wasn’t as simple as it looked. Removing the old screws was a real pain; a bunch of them just stripped right out. If I hadn’t had my Dremel and some cutting discs to either slice through the screws or make a decent slot for a flathead screwdriver, I would’ve been in a real pickle. After about an hour of sweating and cursing, I managed to get it all sorted. Here’s hoping this door lasts another 10 to 15 years!
